EARLY FAN ACTIVITY
Naively, I printed many many copies of an 8.5x11 32-page newsprint unclassifiable magazine which I assumed
I would be able to distribute through an area magazine distributor. They of course were not interested so I tried taking them
directly to anyplace that had a magazine rack. They likewise were not interested and I still have a lot of copies. None of
the contents are by actual comic book fans.
So then just by way of example here is the self-cover of the 7th issue of my first actual fanzine. The name
meant that what I had originally meant to do was speak primarily to regional fans--but that never worked out. I was loathe
to change the name so I kept it for about a dozen issues.
